Makenzie Griffith and Ashlee Stolje each scored, and Kailea Oliver and Kayla Zimny shared the shutout in goal for the Lady Bears (3-4-2, 2-0).
Montgomery returns to action at 7 p.m. Tuesday at home against Lake Creek. New Caney (3-5-2, 0-2), meanwhile, travels to play Kingwood Park at 7:30 p.m. that day.
